There’s More @11

At St Mary’s we have an All Age Community that meets every Sunday at 11am. We were meeting in the upper room at St Mary’s Church but now meet in the North aisle of the Church as we need more room!

We start from about 10:50 where we share, tea, coffee and biscuits jointly with the 9:30 service. Then we enjoy an hour or so of creative worship for the whole family, all ages worshipping together. We are a friendly, relaxed and informal fellowship. We spend time in sung worship, look at the bible together and have times of prayer as well as other creative activities and we usually end around 12 o’clock.

At @11 we are inspired by St Paul’s words to the young Thessalonian Church:

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’  (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Like the Thessalonians, we are a small, mixed age gathering that seeks to share modern worship and fellowship together.

Here are some quotes from those that gather for @11:

  • It is relaxed and informal and I can ask questions and contribute to a discussion
  • I can apply the Christian learning to my everyday life
  • I can enjoy singing modern worship songs
  • I can take part in creative ways to pray
  • I find the service accessible and tailored to meet the needs of those present
  • I know everyone there (and they know me) and I can connect during the week and not just on Sunday through our dedicated WhatsApp Group
  • There’s no pressure to attend each week and I access and experience a range of activities
  • I can relax & be at peace alongside my 4 year old son who can also get involved at his level
  • I can worship God and learn more about him with my mum, dad, wife and children and are given opportunities to share together
  • I can take my turn in leading the service and share my own understanding of a Bible passage
  • The leaders are in touch with people and faith, they care and give us individual attention

For most of the year we try to meet at 11am on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays, usually at St Mary’s Church, and on the 1stSunday we often gather somewhere to share a meal together. Everyone is welcome to come and join us. Please get in touch with Stephen the Vicar to find out more.

All are welcome to join us in worship at our services and for other events.

Having fun at @11. Adults and children enjoy the challenge with lego!
Come and explore being a Christian today in a relaxed and different way with all the family.
